Hello party people in the world! One of the BIG reasons that I've been a little tardy in updating is because I'm in the process of totally switching gears and switching to another blog that is TOTALLY custom. So be in the look out be the middle to the end of December guys. :)

A few months ago I had the pleasure of capturing a kickass wedding. Both Linda and Christian practice Tai Kwon Do, which I think is pretty cute. And I don't even use the word cute very much so when I use that term, it's pretty damn cute. :)

And of you readers remember the whole craze of the bride and groom doing choreographed first dances? Well these badass did exactly that. Watch it for yourself below.

Like every wedding that I've had the pleasure to shoot, I woke up extra early that day (~ 7:15 am) to get to the salon that Quynh and her bridesmaids went to get makeup and hair done. The salon was actually 14 minutes down the street from my place, which was awesome. Aside from this, I ran into a lot of trendy restaurants near my area. But that's besides the point. :D

After spending some time at the salon, my assistant Annie Cat (cool name isn't it?) ,whom was at the Charles' house taking pictures, met me up at Quynh's place for the first of two tea ceremonies. Initially, QC wanted to have the tea ceremony prior to the wedding on the Monday of that week but decided to take it simple and have both the ceremonies that day.

So enough of the details of what I did that day. I just want to take some time off and appreciate how generous these guys are. I just love how I get to connect with my clients not just through my services to them but also through creating a binding friendship. Human emotion and nature is indeed nutrition'd through coming into and sharing another's life. QC invited me to dinner a couple weeks ago in celebration of their new home. And believe me when I say this guys, their house is BEAUTIFUL!. It just feels good that clients don't just see you as a service but as a friend. Life is good.

I am truly blessed with the things that God has given me the opportunity to do. Well enough of this! Here are some of the highlights from the awesome wedding!:::

Paola + Ricardo Wedding

These guys presented me my first opportunity to shoot my first outdoor wedding. You guys should've seen the look in my eyes when they told me during the consultation. It was like candy to a fat kid. I went to go check out the chapel a few days before the wedding and realized that it was surrounded by WINDOWS! Nothing better than shooting the ceremony amples amount of natural light. I knew the pictures were going to turn out great.

After the ceremony, it was a 35+ minute drive to Ricky's house where the outside reception took place. But I'm not complaining. I'm about to shoot an outdoor wedding. By this time the sun was setting and the hanging light decor was turned on. I set my flashes in place around the dance floor they built and captured the coolest night images ever! :D

Janie's Lifestyle Session

At this point it was about 2 months since I last shot a lifestyle session so I was a bit rusty. Fortunately, Janie was so great and enthusiastic I had no problems and the pictures turned out great!

I met Janie through a good friend of mine while I was attending college. Both Janie and her boyfriend both attended medical school and are in their clinicals. Thanks you Janie for taking out your precious time and have this great lifestyle session with me. :D
